I like how simple and clean the interface is. That said, I also ran into a few obstacles that probably affect other users trying out the system for the first time. In this document, I’ve shared some ideas that could help improve the initial experience.
Sign up page
A user’s perception of the product is crucial at the very beginning. If they believe the product is solid and trustworthy, they’re more likely to overlook small issues (the opposite is also true).
The sign up page forms the first impression during a key moment: when users are deciding whether to register.
Right now, the page feels more like a raw prototype, but a few small changes could make it look like a polished, reliable product:
- Make text inputs visually lighter and clearer.
- Narrow the inputs and reduce the overall height of the sign-up block (it currently doesn’t fit on a 14-inch laptop screen).
- Make the password tip shorter and dynamic (e.g., show checkmarks as each condition is met).
- Remove the password confirmation field (it’s unnecessary in most cases, especially as many users use browser-generated passwords, and password recovery is easy if needed).

Home Page
There are a few issues:
- Asking Riley a question isn’t as straightforward as it could be:
- It’s unclear what users are supposed to ask since the descriptive text seems to apply to the whole page.
- Asking a question requires an extra step (clicking the “Ask” button).
- The placeholder “Search” is technically correct, but not ideal in terms of guiding user behavior. Since AI tools are still new for many people, the tip might be confusing.
- The predefined tasks (Generate Insights, etc.) are great, but they appear inactive. Slight styling adjustments could make them feel more interactive.
- When there are no projects yet, it’s better to hide that section to reduce distraction. It can easily reappear once at least one project exists.
And this is my attempt to fix these issues:

Empty States
Empty states are a powerful way to explain how the system works and guide users in the right direction. Here is an example:
